  • Research Assistant Position

    The Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy (IMRP) is seeking to hire a research assistant. The research assistant will assist the IMRP’s Director of Research on three major projects:

    • Connecticut Crisis Response Project (911-211-988)
    • Connecticut Sentencing Commission Database Project
    • Florida Co-responder Projects – (i) Trauma-Informed Training Evaluation; (ii) Community Outreach Team Evaluation

     This position will be primarily remote, with the expectation of reporting onsite as needed.

    Job Requirements

    • Attend virtual research and focus group meetings.
    • Take detailed meeting notes.
    • Assist with the transcription of audio recorded interviews and focus groups.
    • Administer surveys (online and in-person).
    • Draft preliminary reports.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
    • Ability to simultaneously track multiple projects, paying attention to detail, and staying organized.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals.
    • Meet deadlines and work under pressure in a dynamic office environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
