Leadership Opportunities

  • Join the Probation Review Board

The Office of Community Standards encourages interested student leaders to apply to join the Probation Review Board.

    What is University Probation?
Students who violate The Student Code may find their student status in jeopardy if placed on University Probation. University Probation is a six-month period for a student to demonstrate changes to past patterns of behavior and to demonstrate why they are a valuable member of the UConn Community.

What is the Probation Review Board (PRB)?
The Board is comprised of student volunteers, who are tasked with reviewing individual/group request for lifting a University Probation status prior to the status' completion date. The Board will examine what changes an individual/group has made to their behavior in order to positively contribute to the UConn Community. The board will assess a student's/group's change in behavior based on three criteria: academics, involvement, and conduct/behavior.

Goals of the Probatioin Review Board:

    1. Uphold standards and values of the UConn community
    2. Assist in maintaining an inclusive and safe living-learning enviornment
    3. Support student's growth and development while at UConn
