Join the Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Advising Office for our upcoming Chat with Alumni event, “ Pursuing Your Own Path” on Wednesday, October 11th from 7-8pm to connect with two UConn Alumni about their healthcare journeys!
We will be joined by Olasubomi 'Mini' Ajayi (an M1 at UConn School of Medicine) and Darlene Burckson (a first-year PhD student at UConn Health). They will share their experiences and insights from their healthcare journeys thus far, and they look forward to answering any questions you may have for them! Everyone is welcome regardless of where they are on their healthcare journey!

A little more about our Alumni:
Olasubomi 'Mini' Ajayi pursued a Allied Health Sciences degree and graduated from UConn in 2021. While at UConn, Mini was an Honors Scholar, President of MAPS, a National Future Leadership Project Fellow (SNMA), a HCOP Scholar, and a member of the Collegiate Health Services Corps.
Darlene Burckson pursued a Biological Sciences major and graduated from UConn in 2022. While at UConn, Darlene was a Senior RA for WiMSE, a BOLD Scholar, and a Peer Mentor for MAPS. Darlene has participated in a Yale Summer Enrichment Research Experience Program (YSERE), and went on to be a Yale Post Graduate Fellow prior to starting her Ph.D. at UConn Health.
