Please join the Native American Cultural Programs (NACP) on Wednesday, October 11th from 4:00-6:00 PM for the "Blanket Exercise" an event being held for Indigenous Peoples Week 2023.
The KAIROS "Blanket Exercise" is an experiential learning tool for teaching various histories of the United States through Native lenses. Everyone who attends is a participant, and the goal is to experience histories of colonization and the creation of the United States through various Native perspectives. The facilitators of this event include UConn's own Tribal Community Member In-Residecnce Chris Newell (Passamaquoddy), and endawnis Spears (Diné/ Ojibwe/ Chicasaw/ Choctaw), both from the Akomawt Educational Initiative.
