  • 9/27 Food is Love: Suicide Prevention

For Asian and Asian American college students, an important protective factor to prevent suicide is belonging. And in Asian cultures, food is a love language.

Join us at the ODI Commons on Wednesday, September 27th at 6pm to join in community and share this love language together by:

    • Basking in feel-good memories surrounding food in our culture
    • Sharing stories of the traditional meals that bring us feelings of love and belonging in terms of our unique cultures
    • Discussing how to leverage these positive feelings of belonging and access community when we need them most: when we're struggling and feeling isolated
    • And we won’t just talk about food, we’ll be enjoying Asian finger food and light refreshments as a community as well.

Bring your stories, we want to hear them. Students from all backgrounds are welcome!

Attendance by RSVP only. Please complete this form to register!

First 40 students who RSVP will be registered for the event. Finger food will be from Spice Venue in Downtown Storrs.
