The Windham Region No Freeze Project is dedicated to providing safe and temporary shelter to those in the community experiencing homelessness. No Freeze is a “wet shelter” that accepts individuals regardless of external factors.
Anyone with an interest in learning about the consequences of homelessness and an enthusiasm for community service and advocacy is encouraged to apply. Participants will assist shelter staff in nightly duties such as cleaning, organizing common areas, assisting with the shelter’s external projects, and most importantly, interacting with guests.
Participants will volunteer for one shift per week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and transportation will be provided to and from the shelter.
