Hi! My name is Alexa Udell and this year I have been awarded an IDEA Grant to do a photo project centered around portraying the unique gender-identities and gender-expressions of Trans* people in a way that is euphoric to them. My project uses a collaborative portraiture method which involves models in every step of the process from photography to publishing and allows them to make informed decisions about the way they appear in photos.
