The Lavender Resilience Collective is an opportunity that offers educational support for LGBTQIA+ UConn students to interrupt internalized bias based on our unique and intersecting identities. Together, students will learn new tools to help build resilience and feel empowered to be their authentic selves. Open to both undergraduate and graduate students across all of UConn's campuses. Interested students must register by completing this form by September 8th, 2023: https://forms.office.com/r/sj4jYc3aa5
There are two groups. Both groups will meet virtually on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30pm – 5:00 pm for a total of 6 sessions* starting on September 12th, 2023. One is for any student who identifies as LGBTQIA+. Another is for Queer BIPOC students who seek the exclusive company of other Queer BIPOC students as a means of healing.
Session dates are as follows:
September 12
September 19
September 26
October 3
October 17
October 24
*Note: More sessions may be added, and the curriculum adjusted as group speakers are recruited. These sessions will be optional.
