  • Update Social Security Number Request Task

    On Wednesday, May 3rd, the Office of the Bursar assigned the Update Social Security Number Request Task.

    If a student is assigned this task, they should log into the Student Administration System to complete it (instructions here).

    This task is issued each semester to all students who do not have a valid SSN or ITIN in the Student Administration System.  Foreign nationals who are not eligible for an SSN or an ITIN may indicate this when completing the task.

    A TAX hold will be placed on student accounts as part of this process.  This TAX hold will be removed within 24 hours from completion if a valid SSN or ITIN is provided.

    Please note: This hold does not block a student’s ability to register or receive a transcript.

    For further details and to access the task, students should log into their Student Administration account at https://studentadmin.uconn.edu/ and review the Office of the Bursar website.
