The annual campus-wide steam shutdown will begin the afternoon of Sunday, May 7, 2023 and continue through Friday, May 12, 2023. This will enable Facilities Operations to perform necessary repairs, improvements, and maintenance to the steam and condensate distribution system. On Friday, May 12, the system will be re-activated. Restoring pressure may take up to 24 hours.
During this shutdown period, the buildings serviced by the central steam system will not have heat; and in some locations, hot water will not be available for showers, dishwashing, or lab needs. You are receiving this notification as you are a Building Emergency Contact for a building(s) affected by this steam shutdown.
