    Participants Wanted for UConn Innovation Zone Survey

     

    Research Study Title: Create, Inspire, Innovate in a Makerspace: Measuring Students Attitudes towards Academic Makerspaces in Higher Education

     

    Research is being conducted to understand students' attitudes towards academic makerspaces in higher education. Participants will be asked about their experience with the UConn Innovation Zone, and how the Innovation Zone can best support students at UConn. This research looks to provide recommendations for how makerspaces can market themselves at a large public research university in the U.S. 

     

    This research study was approved by the UConn IRB, Protocol X23-0130

     

    All UConn students can participate.

     

    Survey is expected to take 15 minutes. participants will be asked about attitudes they have towards academic makerspaces and their current understanding of the role the Innovation Zone and makerspaces have within higher education. Participants will be asked about their willingness to participate in workshops and events hosted by the Innovation Zone. Participation in the survey is voluntary and surveys are anonymous.

     

    Payment: Upon completion of survey, participants will be led to a separate Google Form asking for a UConn email where all participants will be entered into drawing for one of three prize sets from the Innovation Zone and UConn First-Year Programs
