"Tenure Talk: A 7-year retrospective of the Hird Lab (& a roadmap for the future)"
This “tenure talk” focuses on the research from the Hird Lab over the last seven years, which primarily focuses on the microbiomes of wild birds. It will also cover future research and service goals for the lab and Dr. Hird.
Dr. Sarah Hird is a soon-to-be-official associate professor in the Molecular and Cell Biology department and the Faculty Director of the Women in Math, Science and Engineering Learning Community (WiMSE LC) at the University of Connecticut. Prior to that, she was a University of California Davis Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow. She obtained a PhD in evolutionary biology from Louisiana State University and an MS and BS from the University of Idaho.
