Dr. Jenifer Nadeau in the UConn Department of Animal Science is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Trail practicum during the 2023 summer and fall terms.
Duties include:
- Assisting riders in finding tack;
- Ensuring all tack is safe;
- Helping riders mount;
- Picking up any fallen items on trail;
- Helping in the event of a fallen rider and
- Assisting in putting away and ensuring all tack is cleaned.
The ideal candidate will be able to confidently walk trot and canter, safely mount/dismount. A completed Trail Test may be required.
Summer dates for Trail: May 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24; July 10, 12, 17, 19; Aug 7, 9, 24, 26
Fall Dates for Trail: Wednesday mornings throughout the semester starting at 9 AM.
