  • Participants Wanted- Virtual Reality Study

We are seeking participants for a study investigating Student Engagement through a Virtual Reality Classroom.

The goal of this in-person research study is to investigate how students learn in a virtual reality environment. In this study, you will participate in a lesson delivered in a virtual reality (VR) environment while your eye movements are recorded using a camera. You will also be asked to complete several surveys and/or a brief interview before and after participating in the VR lesson. In order to put on the VR headset, you will need to bind your hair or lay it flat.

This study will be conducted at UConn’s Digital Media and Design Department (Room 117). The study will take approximately 2 hours to complete over two days, for which you will receive $25/hour.

Any student who is a fluent English speaker, between the ages of 18 and 35, right-handed, with no ADHD/learning disability, and no history of neurological conditions, such as vertigo, seizures, or dizziness, is eligible to participate. Please note if you are currently taking a course with Dr. Davidesco, you are not eligible to participate in the study.
