  • 4/18 Photronics - Coffee Chat by OPIM Innovate

The OPIM Innovate Lab offers hands-on technology oriented coffee chats on a variety of topics of interest to the UConn community. These coffee chats provide an excellent virtual learning opportunity as well as a venue for the exchange of ideas among fellow members of the university and professionals. All coffee chats are 30-60 minutes networking sessions and are held on Webex.

Thomas Pauly is a UConn alum who works with semiconductors and computer chips! He will be interviewed in our coffee chat series so that you can learn a little more about a career in semiconductor related engineering. Here is a little introduction from Thomas himself: I’m 23 years old and I graduated from UConn with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering in May 2021. In June of the same year I started my career working at Photronics, an industry leader in the development and production of photomasks used for semiconductor, or “chip” manufacturing. I’m currently still working with the company as Engineer I and have learned a lot through the process of becoming familiar with the company and industry.

Topics Include: Circuitry, Operations / Supply Chain / Management
