Good afternoon,
Below I am including information about the annual memorial service which will recognize the students who have passed away since April 2022. You were identified as a member of U-Cann Sing and may have been personally connected to Germaine Green who was also involved with this group. As such I am reaching out personally to share the following information.
On April 20, 2023, at 3:00pm we will hold an in-person memorial service in the Student Union Ballroom. For anyone unable to attend in person, the service will available via livestream https://s.uconn.edu/SUBallroom.
This will be an opportunity for the UConn community to remember the members of our student community who have passed during the current academic year. At this service we will remember the following students:
Dominique Courts, Graduate Student, School of Social Work
Germaine Green, Undergraduate, ACES, UConn Hartford
Joy Iwuagwu, Undergraduate, CLAS, Communication
Mia Kirlan-Stout, Undergraduate, CHANR, Animal Science
Christopher Raccio, Undergraduate, CLAS, Economics
The families, friends and faculty connections of each student are invited to join us in this time of recognition and remembrance. The family members will be presented with a certificate of academic accomplishment or diploma to honor the effort that the students put into their studies while at UConn.
