  • 4/15 Bengali New Year Celebration from Bongo

    Hello everyone!

We, the team of Bongo, would like to welcome you all to our Bengali New Year celebration. Pohela Boishakh (or the 1st of Boishakh) is the first day of the bengali calendar. On this day, Bengalis wear new clothes, greet their neighbors and friends with an endearing "Shubho Noboborsho" (which literally translates to "Happy New Year"), local businesses greet their customers with special sweets and refreshments, and everyone spends time in the cozy and warmth of family.

Join us on this joyous occasion to learn more about the rich history surrounding its origin, to take a brief recess from the encumbrances of the semester and, of course, to treat yourselves to some bengali-style cuisines. Please go to the following link to = RSVP for the event.
