  • Seeking 18-25-year-olds - Paid Research Interview

We are looking for volunteers who are 18-25, who have struggled with alcohol use or suicidal thoughts, and have visited an emergency room since turning 18. We are developing an interactive mobile health intervention to help young adults with alcohol use problems and suicidal thoughts. We are asking young adults to participate in a focus group to provide their opinions on the intervention, as part of a paid research study.

    Participation involves:

    • 1.5 -hour focus group at UConn Health or UConn Storrs or remotely (on a secure, web-based platform called Webex)
    • Give opinions about a drafted mobile health app for young people with alcohol use problems and suicidal thoughts

    Participants receive:

    • $75 for their time
    • Snacks/refreshments
    • $15 travel reimbursements for in person focus groups

If you are interested in participating, please contact Ruth via text or phone at 860-422-3210 or by email at heard@uchc.edu for a brief (5 minute) confidential screening to confirm eligibility.
