  • 3/30 Anne Enright Gerson Irish Reader 2023

    The 2023 Gerson Irish Reader will be Anne Enright. She is one of Ireland’s most renowned contemporary fiction writers. Enright has published seven novels, receiving the Man Booker Prize for her bestseller, The Gathering, in 2007. In addition, her second novel, What Are You Like?, was shortlisted for a Whitbread Award in 2000. Her writing consistently explores love, family, identity, and motherhood. Her most recent novel, Actress, was published in 2020.There will be a reception in Ms. Enright’s honor at Alumni House from 6:00-7:00pm, after which her reading will commence.

    Mollie Kervick, UConn Irish Studies PhD (2022) and current postdoctoral teaching fellow at the United States Military Academy (West Point), will introduce Ms. Enright.
