The Reading League Connecticut (TRL-CT) and the University of Connecticut -Waterbury are joining together to host a private screening of the documentary film, The Truth About Reading.
This new, eye-opening documentary film from Emmy Award® winning director Nick Nanton, brings to light the illiteracy crisis in America, highlighting people who learned to read as adults and sharing proposed solutions for working towards a future where every child learns to read proficiently.
The film is free of charge and will be screened, by invitation only, with light refreshments and a Q&A following the showing.
