Apply to be an Asian/Asian American Mentoring Program (AMP) Mentor for the 2023-2024 academic year!
An AMP Mentor is an individual who emphasizes social and academic support to their assigned mentee(s). An AMP mentor will uphold the values of the Asian American Cultural Center and serve as a role model. As a mentor, you will attend mandatory training in the Spring 2023 semester, prior to the Fall 2023 semester, and beyond to develop leadership and skills to better help your mentee(s) as they start their journey at UConn. No prior experience needed, just a willingness to support your mentee(s) both academically and socially as they transition to college life. New mentors are expected to enroll in a 3 credit course, AAAS 3998: The Asian American Experience, the Fall 2023 semester instructed by AsACC founding director, Angela Rola.
