  • 1/25 Info Session: Service Learning in a Global Society

Come learn more about EGL's Summer Service Learning in a Global Society in New Zealand! This program is designed to offer a research-based service learning course in an international setting where students can explore issues relating to intercultural understanding and global citizenship. While on this program, students will engage in meaningful community service activities in teams of two to four students in areas identified as an expressed need by the host community non-profit site or municipal setting.

In addition to the service learning component of this program, participants will have the opportunity to see Wellington and experience the local culture. This will include a guided tour of the city, as well as many other attractions such as Hannah's Laneway, a ferry to Maitu/Somes Island, and New Zealand's parliament.

The info session will be held from 4-5pm in McHugh 107.
