  • Enrolling Subjects in Resistance Training Study

PARTICIPANTS WANTED for a research study to determine the effects of performing resistance training exercises with different ranges of motion of the pattern of muscle activity along the length of the quadriceps muscle.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?  Active men and women ages 18-40 who have no limitations to performing knee extension exercise.

WHAT DOES THE STUDY ENTAIL?  A single ~2.5 hour visit to the lab, during which you’ll performed knee extensions with different ranges of motion while muscle activity along the length of your quadriceps muscle is measured using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy.

WHERE DOES THE STUDY TAKE PLACE? The Sports Optimization & Rehabilitation (SOAR) Lab located at UConn’s Gampel Pavilion.

ARE THERE ANY INCENTIVES?  All participants will receive a $25 Visa gift card.
