On Friday, Jan. 27, National Medal of the Arts recipient Ping Chong will deliver a lecture in the Nafe Katter Theatre in the School of Fine Arts, which is open to the UConn community. The lecture will take place at 12:30 p.m. Reservations are not required. The lecture will focus on theater and art that reveals the beauty in all of us and a commitment to social justice.
This is a part of Chong’s three-day residency at UConn.
Ping Chong’s career as a theater director, choreographer, and artist spans nearly 50 years. His work focuses on exploring and dismantling history, geography, race, and culture.
