    OPENING RECEPTION

Right Below Your Feet: A Beautiful Evolutionary Success Story

26 October 2022: Wilbur Cross Building Lobby Rotunda

The CSMNH is hosting an opening reception in honor of our photographic exhibit “Right Below Your Feet: A Beautiful Evolutionary Success Story” in the Wilbur Cross Building at the UConn Storrs campus on Wednesday, October 26 from 3–5PM.

“Right Below Your Feet” introduces a group of organisms called bryophytes, also known as mosses, liverworts and hornworts. The reception will feature remarks from Dr. Bernard Goffinet from the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Mark Smith, co-owner and founder of Macroscopic Solutions. Real specimens will also be on display at the opening. Visitors will have an opportunity to examine specimens and a Macropod camera up close and ask questions of our experts.

Reception begins with light refreshments at 3:00PM, with remarks to follow.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is much appreciated!
