  • Speech Perception Human Subjects Requested

    Volunteers are needed to participate in a research study titled “Preterm infant language outcomes.” The purpose of this study is to examine auditory processing and language processing in individuals who were born preterm and full term. Adults between 18-35 years of age who were born preterm or full term are invited to participate.

    The research takes place in 2 sessions approximately 1-2 hours long on the Storrs campus. Participants will listen to complete language assessments and a questionnaire. Participants will also have their brain’s activity to tones, speech sounds, words, or sentences recorded. Participants will receive monetary compensation for participation and will also be provided with scores on standardized language tests if requested.
