You are invited to attend our upcoming two-part event “Preparing and Pitching Yourself as a Scientist” on October 13th and October 20th. Crafting and delivering a compelling elevator pitch can really make you stand apart from the rest when you are on the job market, networking, attending a conference, or on the fly when you meet someone in public.
Join Cerneos Group, Westchester Biotech Project, and Beyond the PhD to learn how to prepare and deliver a compelling elevator pitch demonstrating your research. Register to attend our virtual workshop on October 13th and meet with mentors in academia and industry to learn how to craft your pitch. Then on October 20th, join us to present your elevator pitch in person at UConn Health (Cell & Genome Sciences Building, 400 Farmington Ave, Farmington, CT).
Trainees and professionals in science and biotechnology are welcome to participate. These events are free.

5:50-6:10- Mentors introduce themselves and give their elevator pitch
6:15-6:45- Breakout rooms with mentors and attendees to craft pitches
6:45-7:00- if time permits, attendees practice delivering their pitches
