  • Join "The Fast and the Curious" HuskyTHON Team

Looking for outreach, advocacy, and lots of fun?

Join “The Fast and the Curious” HuskyTHON team! Led by two Office of Undergraduate Research Peer Research Ambassadors, Stephanie Schofield and Alyssa Daniels, this team is meant to provide a fun means of not only building vital transferable skills, but also gives you an opportunity to support children from the Connecticut Children’s Hospital (CCMC). As our name suggests, “The Fast and the Curious”, we are seeking members to join who hold curiosity. No matter if you’re curious about genetics, law, medicine, art, etc. we are happy to have you join our team, which is made up of students from all majors and backgrounds! Our team is a welcome and open environment where you will be able to network with others, get involved in fundraising, and learn how to communicate a vital cause to the public.

We have plenty of fundraising ideas lined up for our team and are excited to work together with you to make this a fun, memorable, and insightful experience. All team members will be registered as HuskyTHON dancers and will be asked to fundraise at least $250. The time commitment per week is less than 1 hour and amounts to about 1-2 hours per month, which is flexible depending on how you choose to fundraise! Dancers on our team will join us at the HuskyTHON dance marathon on April 1st to support CCMC patients and make memories with them that will last a lifetime!

So, are you ready to embark on a fun journey with us? HuskyTHON is more than a fundraising event to us, we want to help you propel your career forward with us too, so we’ll be with you every step of the way! When you join “The Fast and the Curious”, the opportunities are endless!
