America Reads is a volunteer program that seeks to enrich learning and literacy in students K-12. Kinsella High School is seeking volunteers for the Fall semester. At Kinsella High school, you mainly act as a teachers aid; help pass out paperwork, help students one on one with classroom work, and help with any additonal duties the teacher needs.
The program times are Tuesday/Friday 11:15am-2pm or Monday/Thursday 8am-10:25am... this includes about 45 minutes for transportation from UConn to the HS, 1hr 15 mins of volunteering, and 45 min transportation back to UConn. Kinsella High is located in Hartford, CT and transportation is provided by Community Outreach. Volunteers are only required to go to site once week.
