Volunteer Opportunities

  • Mansfield Senior Center Volunteering Program

The Mansfield Senior Center volunteering program is returning this semester! We are a semester-long program under the Health & Social Services branch of Community Outreach. Volunteers help the Mansfield Senior Center with recreational and social activities to improve well-being and strengthen the sense of community! Possible service opportunities include the welcome desk and reception, weekly trivia games, BINGO sessions, the meal program, and special programs throughout the year, and there are both in-person and virtual opportunities available.

There are time slots available Monday through Friday for 1-3 hours at various times throughout the day, and we'll do our best to work with people's availabilities. Transportation to and from the Mansfield Senior Center will be provided by the University through Community Outreach.

No prior experience is required! We simply look for respect, compassion, and a passion for community service. It's a wonderful opportunity to form meaningful friendships with older adults in the community, learn about their lives and stories, and gain experience working with a population that has unique experiences.

Our application can be found at https://forms.gle/Ccj9VyAYFnk6aADo9 and will be due by Thursday, September 15th, 11:59pm.
