Volunteer Opportunities

  • Calling All Tea Lovers and Conversationalists

Sow Grow Savor (SGS) is an intergenerational edible gardening program established with the support of a UConn IDEA Grant (2020) by Sarah Platt '22. This fall, SGS is are partnering with Tea @ 3 to offer a unique volunteering opportunity.

Tea @ 3 is a program that facilitates intergenerational connections, with the aim to end loneliness, reduce ageism, and improve overall health and well-being. As a part of the Tea @ 3 Community, you will be matched with an older adult with similar interests for a weekly conversation. You will be provided with a month’s supply of tea and a handmade mug cozy, and you will receive a weekly email with conversation starters and tips for healthy living. You will also have the opportunity to participate in three virtual Community events. This program runs September-November.
