  • Today is AIDS Awareness Day

Today is AIDS Awareness Day. The Connecticut AIDS Coalition estimates that 30% of people with HIV do not know they are infected. One way to spread awareness is to know your status and encourage others to get tested.

GYT is a free STI testing event being held TOMORROW in the Student Union ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 200 students will be offered testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV. Free treatment is available for those who test positive for chlamydia and/or gonorrhea. This event is provided by the CT Department of Public Health and co-sponsored by Student Health Services and the Health Education Office.
