On Campus Job Opportunities

  • Federal Work-Study - Important Reminder

Federal Work-Study is a program which provides part-time employment opportunities to eligible students to help meet educational expenses.  Students may gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences that will prove useful upon graduation. Federal Work-Study students must secure a job and work to earn their award and will receive bi-weekly paychecks.  Therefore, Work-Study funds would not be credited toward your University fee bill.

If you are interested in working as part of the Federal Work-Study Program you must accept your Work-Study offer on or before August 1st and secure a job on or before September 16th.  It is important that you inform your employer that you have a Work-Study offer.  Failure to secure a job by September 16th will result in your Work-Study award being canceled.

Available positions are advertised via studentjobs.uconn.edu as well as communityoutreach.uconn.edu/semester-long-programs .  Want to gain research experience? Consider a Work-Study research position ugradresearch.uconn.edu/work-study.  A sample of job postings include; Student Audio/Visual Technology Specialist, Student Child Care Assistant, Student IT Help Center Assistant and Student Research Review Specialist.
