  • Paid Academic Advocacy Positions Open

The Academic Affairs Committee is one of 4 advocacy committees within UConn’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG). Our committee is responsible for the advocacy of student academic life concerns, such as: student's rights, University academic policy (such as, Pass/Fail, academic probation, academic integrity, and Add/drop/withdrawal), and quality of education. We are hiring several paid student positions open for UConn Storrs undergraduates for the academic year 2022-2023.

    • Academic Affairs Deputy Director- responsible for assisting the Academic Affairs Director with committee leadership

    • Accessible Education Advocacy Coordinator- responsible for finding and implementing intersectional solutions to access barriers for students with disabilities at UConn

    • Academic Events Advocacy Coordinator- responsible for organizing and executing student events in order to improve student academic life (such as, the annual finals care fair packages)

Employment with USG is unique in that our organization is student-run, so it provides opportunities for any student who sees a vision of a better UConn to achieve that goal with the backing of the organization and its funding.

All applications can be submitted through UConn’s JobX portal. Navigate to UConn JobX by using ‘advanced searching’ with keywords from the position titles (e.g. search “USG” to filter down to USG positions).
