  • Recruiting Healthy Controls for Back Pain Study

Study Title: NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL AND TRANSCRIPTOMIC PREDICTORS OF CHRONIC LOW BACK PAIN: TOWARDS PRECISION PAIN MANAGEMENT (NEAT STUDY)

University of Maryland IRB Number: HP-00088115 UM IRB

This is a multi-PI study with Dr. Xiaomei Cong from University of Connecticut and Dr. Cynthia Renn and Dr. Susan Dorsey at University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursing.

The NEAT study aims to discover gene expression biomarkers that predict chronic low back pain so that we may uncover new therapeutic targets, identify patients at risk, and develop early, targeted interventions to reduce disability and improve quality of life for patients.
