Health, Wellness, and Safety

  • 4/26 Let's Build a Framework for Wellbeing Together

SHaW’s Health Promotion team is reaching out about a Wellbeing Framework that UConn & Student Health and Wellnessthatwill offer a shared way to understand and communicate wellbeing in our community.

We are finishing up the development of the framework and need your help to make sure it represents the diverse cultures and identities at UConn.  We want every student to feel a connection to the framework and its way of communicating our shared understanding of wellbeing.  Please share your honest feedback and suggestions to make the framework better and more representative of our community!

Soon, we’ll begin using the framework to improve wellbeing in lots of different ways.  We’ll partner with community members to build tools that support wellbeing (things like: self-assessments, screening tools, wellbeing plans, discussion guides for facilitating conversation about wellbeing, etc.).  The framework will also be used to organize the many resources at UConn, identify gaps in services, and make this information more easily accessible, answering questions like “What are all the resources at UConn that support students when figuring out sources of meaning and connection in their lives?  How about basic needs?” Let’s pull those all the resources that support Purpose or Essentials together and make it easier to find for a student looking for those opportunities.

Learn more about the draft of the framework by watching a very short video embedded in this survey, and then share your feedback by continuing to the next page in the same survey.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We appreciate your help in developing this tool and promoting wellbeing on campus!

Thank you for being a valued member of the UConn community,
