Composting In Willington with Monique Bosch
Tues. April 26th 6:30 pm
Join UConn's Spring Valley Student Farm to learn from Monique Bosch about COMPOST!
Trained in landscape design and horticulture, Monique has built over 40 edible school and community gardens, a two-acre urban farm and school farm,
helping community members and youth grow nutrient dense food. She teaches and speaks on ‘how to grow your own food’ as well as worm composting, microscopy, healthy soils and community building. She
has founded and run both non-profit and for-profit entities, including Green Village Initiative (GVI) and Wiggle Room LLC.
Join us for a presentation on composting for various sites around Willington. Whether you are a home gardener, community organizer or farmer, we will explore ways to compost that fit the site and scale of your project. Utilizing
food waste and other natural resources around town, we will learn how to make the healthiest compost to feed our soils.
