The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is working on creating a Society for Advancing Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) student chapter. This student-led club will provide an opportunity for Latina/o/x undergrads to receive advice on making successful applications to grad school and getting on a fast track to defining do-able doctoral research projects. The College will be hosting an event with the Puerto Rican/ Latin American Cultural Center to spread awareness and help recruit students to join the effort in creating the chapter!
