We are UConn’s chapter of Partners in Health Engage; the grassroots branch of Partners in Health, an international organization that provides high quality healthcare for the poor. Our work focuses on advocacy, fundraising, and community building.
On 3/22 we are hosting a LTE (letter to the editor) workshop. It is a great way to learn about advocacy through writing! LTEs show up in magazines and newspapers, and they are a great way to reach a particular audience of readers or even an audience bigger than just by word of mouth. The workshop will go over what an LTE looks like, what components go into an LTE, and how to make an LTE concise but compelling to an audience!
