Interested in becoming a Student Leader with Community Outreach (CO)? Community Outreach is a student-led organization within the Department of Student Activities at UConn. Our mission is to enrich student learning and create active global citizens by participating in service activities and working to understand a variety of social issues.
As a Student Leader, you will be responsible for one of the many programs run within CO. Communities of Practice include:
- Social and Health Services
- Jumpstart
- Alternative Breaks
- Youth Development and Education for Adolescents and Children
- Language and Literacy
- One Time Programs and Initiatives
- Transportation
- Public Relations
Student Leaders are typically responsible for: recruitment, scheduling services with the external community to build relationships, facilitating group conversations, and meeting individually with students.
