The Sixth Annual Jeffny Pally Smile Mile is a one mile walk/wheel in support of the Spread the Word Campaign in honor of Jeffny Pally. Jeffny came up with idea for this event as she became the Program Director of the Special Olympics Committee in Community Outreach, in charge of the Spread the Word Campaign. Jeffny thought that a one mile walk/wheel would be the perfect way to spread awareness of the campaign - and what’s better than a name that rhymes? Jeffny’s passion for Special Olympics, the Spread the Word Campaign, and making sure everyone realized that they were special, made her the perfect girl for the job.
The Spread the Word Campaign is an effort to increase the inclusion of everyone in our everyday lives. It is up to everyone to share how exclusion hurts and inclusion heals. So please, become a part of Jeffny’s vision of a collective effort to Spread the Word: Inclusion!
The Smile Mile will take place on March 6th from 10am-12pm in the Hugh S. Greer Field House at 2111 Hillside Rd, Storrs CT 06269.
