Dear UConn Community,
After a long break, the French Film Festival is back! The TAs of the French section of the LCL Department are happy to present to you a festival around France's favorite actor: Omar Sy. The films will be played in French with English subtitles. No need to speak French, all are welcome!!!
When: March 1, 2, and 3, from 7:30pm to 10pm.
Where: STRS WW16 (Nursing Building)
What: Three films starring actor Omar Sy, with popcorn, coffee, games, and prizes!
The films:
March 1: De l'autre côté du périph
Ousmane Diakhité (Omar Sy), cop from the projects, must collaborate with François Monge, officer from the center of Paris, in order to solve the murder of Mme Chaligny, wife of influencial businessman.
March 2: Demain tout commence
Samuel (Omar Sy) lives the normal life of a single person, until one morning an ex girlfriend knocks on his door and leaves him with a daughter to raise. Eight years later, the mother reappears and wants custody of her child.
March 3: Chocolat
Rafael Padilla Chocolat (Omar Sy) escaped slavery and became the first Black stage performer in France. From the circus to the theater, Chocolat and his partner Charles Footit will make an attempt at stardom.
