  • 3/3 The Healing Power of Storytelling Conference

UConn's International Center for Life Story Innovations and Practice invites you to attend The Healing Power of Storytelling online conference on March 3-4.

Stories can be experienced in many ways, whether through reading and writing, telling and listening, or sharing and reflecting. They can also take different forms: factual or emotional, consistent, or fragmented, down-to-earth or imaginative, in words or in creative arts. Stories are often told in difficult, ambiguous situations when people are at crossroads in their lives. They can have a healing power, contributing to health, well-being and meaning in life, connection, and cohesion. Please join us on March 3 and 4 for a day-and-a-half long conference as we examine and discuss the healing power of storytelling. Our program will include workshops, poster and paper presentations, and opportunities for networking. We hope you will join us at our international reception on March 3 for the awards ceremony and an opportunity to meet new members and see old friends.

The keynote speakers are Dr. Annie Brewster, of Harvard Medical School and Health Story Collaborative, and Dr. Jonathan M. Adler, PhD, of Olin College of Engineering and Health Story Collaborative.
