    Are you interested in getting involved in undergraduate research in a STEM field of study, but are not sure where to begin?

    Attend an info session with UConn McNair Program Coordinator, Dr. Renée Gilberti, to learn about being a UConn McNair Apprentice for the fall 2022 semester. As an Apprentice, you have the chance to shadow with a STEM research group for an introductory experience directly related to your interests and enroll in UNIV 1820 Exploring STEM Research 101!

    STEM majors are within many disciplines in CLAS, CAHNR, School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Pharmacy, Neag School of Education, and School of Nursing! If you are in ACES taking STEM courses, apply!

    As part of UConn’s TRiO programs, McNair is open to students considering graduate school who are low-income, first-generation college students and those who self-identify as a racial or ethnic group underrepresented in STEM graduate fields.

    Regional campus students transitioning to Storrs for fall 2022 when participation will occur are encouraged to apply!

    Eligibility:

    (A) among the first generation in your family to attend a 4 year college AND meet the low income guidelines on the application chart based on your family size,

    OR

    (B) Self-identify as an underrepresented racial or ethnic group as listed on the application,

    OR

    if you are able to check off both (A) and (B)
