  • Survey: Support App for Women with Breast Cancer

    Designing a peer to peer emotional support mobile application for women with breast conditions and cancers

    If you have or have had a breast condition or cancer of the breast please consider taking this user research survey.  Your participation will help create informed and effective emotional support resources for women with breast conditions and cancers.

    The purpose of this survey is to uncover the effectiveness of the emotional support resources women with breast conditions and cancers utilize and determine the potential features and benefits a peer to peer emotional support mobile application can have for this population. For this survey you will be asked to answer multiple choice questions relevant to these topics. The responses will help inform the design of a mobile application prototype. The cumulative results of this survey will be presented as user research information alongside the mobile application prototype. Your individual responses and identity will be kept confidential. The survey should take around five minutes to complete.

    Your participation in this research is voluntary. You have the right to withdraw at any point during the survey. The principal investigator of this research is Alyssa McDonald, a digital media and design graduate student at the University of Connecticut.  Alyssa has chosen to investigate this subject because it is one that is close to her heart, as she had a breast tumor while she was applying to be a student at UConn.
