The Allied Health Purposeful Visitor Program at UConn Health is seeking new, single-use items to stock their Therapeutic Activity Carts for all patients, specifically those that are 65 years of age and older. These items can be used to keep patients engaged, stimulate their minds and memory, and reduce loneliness, agitation, or other challenging behaviors.
Suggested items include new dolls, stuffed animals, coloring books, art supplies (coloring pencils, crayons, markers), large jigsaw puzzles, word searches, Sudoku, and reading glasses. Any reading materials, word puzzles, or card games in different languages (Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, etc.) are highly appreciated.
There will be donation boxes located in Storrs Hall near the elevator on the main level as well as in ROWE near the front entrance. The donation drive will run from November 8th until November 22nd.
