Study Title: Muscle Function and Volume in Females with Kneecap Pain
Purpose: To evaluate hip and thigh muscle size, hip and thigh strength, and subjective function.
Participant Restrictions: Participants must have kneecap pain greater than 3/10 in the past week and be between 18 and 35 years old.
Measurements: An MRI scan will measure the size of your hip and thigh muscles. You will then complete a strength assessment and complete questionnaires about your knee pain and knee function.
Research Location: The research study will be conducted in the Brain Imaging Research Center (for MRI scan) and Human Performance Laboratory (for muscle strength) located in Gampel 104, in Gampel Pavilion on the UConn Storrs Campus.
