Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
The worst of the winter is hopefully behind us, and the first day of spring is only a few weeks away. Before you leave for spring break, I want to remind you about the exciting speakers coming to Jorgensen this semester.
On Wednesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m., Hillary Rodham Clinton, Former Secretary of State and Former U.S. Senator from New York, will deliver remarks and participate in a question-and-answer session as part of this year’s Edmund Fusco Contemporary Issues Forum. For more information, access the Edmund Fusco Contemporary Issues Forum website, and click on “Event Information” on the right side of the page.
On April 9, at 7 p.m., Richard Dawkins, world-renowned evolutionary biologist, will appear as the first event in the President’s Distinguished Lecture Series. This is a free non-ticketed event, and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
The UConn Reads event, “What the %@&*! Happened to Comics?” featuring acclaimed cartoonist Art Spiegelman, has been rescheduled to Monday, March 24, at 7 p.m. Again this is a free non-ticketed event. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for classes, and 6:30 p.m. for the general public.
Have a wonderful and safe spring break!
