  • 10/4 Malnutrition Awareness Virtual Fair

UConn’s first Virtual Malnutrition Awareness Fair will be held over the week of October 4th through October 8th, 2021. It will consist of student presentations, recorded in advance, and posted to YouTube.

Malnutrition Awareness WeekTM is an annual campaign, created by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) to educate healthcare professionals, government leaders, community agencies, patients, and caregivers on the negative consequences of malnutrition. Malnutrition is associated with higher medical costs, longer hospital stays, and increased mortality.

Through this Virtual Malnutrition Fair, students of a wide range of academic disciplines will present on various topics relating to malnutrition. Through this event, students will have the opportunity to learn from other students, sharing knowledge and ideas on this important health issue. The presenters include students entering a variety of health-related fields, including nutrition, pharmacy, nursing, medicine, and psychology.

Presentations will be posted each day to YouTube at https://tinyurl.com/3v29j64y

We hope that you join us for a week of education and discussion on this important topic!
