  • Paid Internership Opportunity at the CCD

    The Center for Career Development (CCD) is looking to fill multiple CCD Internship positions for the 2014-2015 academic year. A CCD Intern (formerly Peer Career Advisor) holds a prestigious leadership and employment position that requires a great deal of time, training, and dedication. Training will be provided to interns prior to the beginning of each semester to prepare for the following responsibilities:
     
    • Critique résumés for undergraduate students.
    • Work with full-time staff members on assignments and projects as needed.
    • Disseminate accurate information to students regarding services and programs offered by the Center for Career Development.
    • Present to student groups, organizations, and classes on career-related topics.
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings and trainings at the beginning of each academic semester. 
     
    These are paid positions.
     
    Job Requirements: Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills; exhibit self-confidence and a high level of professionalism, especially in the ability to educate and assist others; have the ability to work independently and on a team, and take initiative; display enthusiasm and a positive attitude; demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of personalities and populations; commit to working 10-12 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Students must also be available the week before fall 2014 classes begin in order to participate in training.
